**Application & Process**  
The Pharmateq compact NewLABOgranulatorcoater-COMBO model, using fluid bed technology, offers an efficient solution for drying, granulating, agglomerating, and coating granules or pellets. This Fluid Bed Equipment is universally applicable and allows the combination of various processes, serving as a rapid dryer and, when combined with the right nozzle system, a granulator, dryer, and coater all in one.

The concept of the NewLABOgranulatorcoater-COMBO is based on production models, designed for consistent processing, ease of operation, and easy cleaning.

1. **Drying Process:**  
   Warm air is passed through a perforated distributor, allowing materials to be dried gently and rapidly until the desired moisture content is achieved. The moisture evaporates and is exhausted with the drying air.

2. **Granulating by Top Spraying System:**  
   The top spray granulator agglomerates fine particles into larger, free-flowing granulates in a single process. Ingredients are mixed and preheated by an upward flow of heated air. Granulation occurs as liquid is sprayed into the fluidized powder, and the granules are then dried with heated air. This system can also be used for top spray coating, layering from liquids, and instantizing.

3. **Pellet Coating by Bottom Spraying - Wurster System:**  
   The bottom spray apparatus provides controlled application of uniform layers of coating onto small- to medium-sized particles without agglomeration. It controls both the movement of hot air and product to ensure the air’s heat is used for vaporizing liquid rather than excessively heating the product. The pellets are coated and dried in a Wurster column and return to the bed in a non-sticky condition for further layers of coating.
