Application & Process Overview

The CIP/WIP system is designed for the automatic cleaning, washing, and drying of IBC bins, both internally and externally.

The automated washing station comprises a sealed washing cabinet, a washing system with a pump, a hot air handling system, and a SCADA system with PLC controls and an IPC touch screen.

To clean, a used bin is placed inside the closed cabinet, and the main entrance door is shut. The washing process occurs on either a stationary or rotating platform, depending on the setup. The wash cycle, which includes pre-wash, main wash, final wash, and drying stages, can be customized according to specific requirements through the PLC system. In auto mode, the wash cycle follows the set parameters.

Multiple spray nozzles are strategically positioned to cover all corners and sides of the bin for external cleaning. For internal cleaning, a top-mounted spray nozzle, equipped with a telescopic pneumatic cylinder, moves up and down during the process to ensure thorough cleaning. The cabinet is also equipped with a drain pot for efficient water removal.

After the wash cycle, the bin is dried using filtered hot air supplied by the Air Handling Unit (AHU). Once the bin reaches the set drying temperature, it is ready for safe storage and use in a new batch.

The closed CIP bin washing system includes a 500-liter purified water vessel, a 25-liter cleaning solution tank, an AHU system, a sealed washing cabinet, and a PLC-controlled system with a pressure pump and CIP skid.
