Application & Process
The
Pharmateq Vacuum Emulsify Mixer is designed for a wide range of high-viscosity products, such as emulsions and semisolids. This machine integrates functions like mixing, vacuuming, heating, cooling, and homogenizing, significantly reducing production cycle times. It is available from lab models with a 10-liter capacity to production models up to 6,000 liters.

 Applications:
- Pharmaceutical: Ointments, creams, gels, lotions, pastes
- Cosmetics: Creams, gels, lotions, mascara, wax, lipsticks, sunscreens, face masks
- Body Care Products: Toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap
- Food: Mayonnaise, ketchup, sauces, mustard, dressings, jam, margarine
- Chemical: Adhesives, grease, shoe and car polish, lubricants, household cleaners, lacquers, putty, paint

 Theory of Operation:
The PHARMATEK Ultra Mixer combines an anchor agitator and a high-shear homogenizer. The anchor stirrer rotates clockwise in the central axis, disrupting the circular flow and promoting a vortex. Pitched paddles create a top-to-bottom flow, while scrapers prevent film build-up and ensure efficient heat transfer during heating and cooling. The agitator speed is variable.

The high-shear homogenizer, located at the bottom, uses centrifugal force to emulsify materials by breaking the oil and water phases into tiny droplets. These are mixed by the rotating agitator to form the final product. The system includes interchangeable high and low-viscosity disperser heads, and the disperser speed is adjustable via inverter control.

The vessel has a cylindrical shell, a torispherical bottom, and is jacketed for heating and cooling. It operates under vacuum to avoid air entrapment. All contact parts are made of stainless steel 316. The vessel is mounted on four legs and features a motorized top lid with various connections and safety components like charging gates, pressure relief valves, CIP nozzles, and sight glasses. A temperature probe ensures accurate control, and mixing time, temperature, and speeds of both the agitator and homogenizer can be precisely managed.

Raw materials are manually fed, and the finished product is discharged via a manual valve or transfer pump.
