Application & Process
The NewLABO rollercompactor is used for the dry granulation of pharmaceutical ingredients, as well as for densification and granulation in the food and chemical industries. It applies high pressure to compact powders between two rollers, increasing bulk density, forming granules, enabling dust-free processing, and reducing packaging size.
Powdered material passes between the two counter-rotating rolls of the roller compactor under very high pressure. As the material is compressed, it forms solid compact sheets or flakes. These are then reduced in size to the desired grain size, with careful attention to minimizing fine particle generation during the process.
