Application & Process
The Pharmateq Extruder is designed to convert wetted powder or dough-like materials into uniform-sized extrudates or granules, often with the addition of binders. This equipment is applicable in industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, agrochemicals, ceramics, herbal products, polymers, catalysts, food, and sugar processing.

The Pharmateq Axial Press Extruder comes with either single or twin screws based on the required output. These screws transfer the material to a flat die, where the extrusion occurs. The thickness of the die can vary to produce different compressive energies. Available die perforation sizes range from 0.7 mm to 5 mm, with varying die thickness up to 5 mm.

The screws move the wetted powders or dough towards the straight sieve or die, which also comes with variable thickness and hole sizes for extruding. The extrusion process takes place at the face of the mesh, ensuring consistent and uniform granulation.
