Fluid Bed Equipment - Granulation & Coater - Combo Model

Application & Process
The Pharmateq Fluid Bed Equipment is designed for drying, cooling, agglomeration, granulation, and coating of particulate materials. It is ideal for both heat-sensitive and non-heat-sensitive products across a range of industries, including Pharmaceuticals, Biotech, Nutraceuticals, Cosmetics, Chemicals, Food, Dairy, Confectionery, Agrochemicals, Herbals, Detergents, and Pharma Institutes.
Depending on the application, Pharmateq fluid bed equipment can be configured into various designs:
**Fluid Bed Mixing and Drying Process**
In this process, a bed of solid particles is fluidized by passing a stream of air upwards through a specially designed perforated sheet. The air velocity is maintained to slightly lift and set the particles in motion, which promotes mixing and forward movement. The air is heated, and this hot air evaporates moisture, effectively drying the solids.
**Fluid Bed Processor with Top Spraying System for Agglomeration and Granulation Process**
This process is used to form granules from fine powders in fluid beds. A top spraying system, equipped with a spray nozzle and precise dosing peristaltic pump, wets the fluidized powder with a binder solution. As the fluidized powder is wetted, liquid bridges form between particles, turning the powder into granules. The continuous flow of hot air ensures proper drying of granules and prevents lump formation. Since different particles are glued together on a micro-scale, segregation is avoided. The gentle nature of fluid bed equipment ensures the granules are weak yet highly soluble. After granules are formed, they are dried using hot air, making them suitable for tableting, capsules, and other applications requiring dust-free processes, good flow properties, and excellent solubility.
**Fluid Bed Equipment with Wurster Coater (Bottom Spray) for Granule or Pellet Coating**
This configuration allows for various coating processes, such as:
- Aqueous or solvent-based coatings
- Controlled-release coatings
- Enteric-release coatings
- Fine particle coatings
- Active layering
The Wurster Coater applies coatings by spraying the solution from the bottom, allowing granules or pellets to be uniformly coated. This technology ensures precision and consistency in the coating process.
