Application & Process
The PHARMATEK Dust Extractor unit is designed for controlling dust during the tableting and packing processes. The unit strongly recommends the use of dust control equipment alongside all tablet presses and de-dusters.
Dust-laden air enters the collector through an expansion chamber, where heavy dust particles are deposited by gravity. The fine dust then passes upwards through a single large orifice and is finally collected by a filter. An effective snap-action shaking mechanism ensures the filter is regularly shaken, allowing the dust to be deposited into a drawer-type tray. Additionally, there is a large door for easy access to change the filter bag and clean the machine.
